Southern Federal University

Southern Federal University abbreviated as SFedU (Russian: ЮФУ) and formerly known as Rostov State University (1957–2006), is a public university in Rostov Oblast, Russia.
The University’s position in the national university rankings provides persuasive evidence to its achievements, a positive image and a passion for excellence: SFedU was awarded the 5th place in the Annual Independent National University Rankings.

Student Life
A large proportion of SFEDU students live in student residence halls in one of the two campuses. Both Rostov Campus and Taganrog Campus are well-equipped and have all the modern facilities, such as reading halls and computer rooms, laundry services, fitness facilities and sports grounds, cafeterias. They live in comfortable rooms for two or three persons and have a lot of opportunities to keep in touch with other members of the student community and to take part in various events held on-campus and in other University’s subdivisions.
Southern Federal University takes pride in the sporting achievements of its students and graduates. It is among the university’s priorities to develop student sport and to encourage healthy and dynamic lifestyle.
